Dr. Christie grew up in a small town in Southwest Georgia, near Columbus. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. She attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry for her dental training where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May 2009.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Christie completed a two year pediatric dentistry residency at Georgia’s Health Sciences University (MCG) in Augusta, Georgia. During her residency training, she focused on providing comprehensive dental care for children, including oral sedation, general anesthesia in the hospital setting, and management of special needs patients. As part of her residency, she worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite and Egleston campuses where care was focused on medically compromised children and children with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Christie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is very excited to be opening a new pediatric dental office, Pediatric Dentistry of Columbus.
Dr. Christie is married to her high school sweetheart, Ritchie. They have a young son, Baylor Thomas. After living in Augusta for the past six years, they are excited to be settling into the Columbus area and being closer to family and friends.
